I’m Verity Sayles, a writer from New England. After moving to the Pacific Northwest I became interested in place-based writing and how space can shape one’s identity. I appreciate fragmented forms, intersections of science and art, concrete details, and airplane food. I earned my MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Oregon State University in 2016 and am currently at work on my first book–a series of essays about the human body. I live in Seattle, WA where I teach high school English.
